Please know that this loot policy is the current policy. The raid leaders reserve the right to alter this policy as needed to cover events that have not been discovered.

Nox Ordo runs on a zero-sum DKP (dragon kill points) system. Our DKP tracking system is accessible by all and can be found at http://dkp.noxordo.org.

DKP Background

In a zero-sum DKP system, points are awarded/spent when an item is purchased during a raid. This means that if an item is disenchanted (no one is interested in purchasing it), no DKP is awarded/spent. The amount of DKP received/spent for an item is based on the tuned size of the instance. Items that are purchased in a 25-man instance are worth 250 DKP.

The DKP points awarded for an item are divided evenly between all that participated in the boss kill that yielded said item. To be clear, you have to participate in the boss kill. If you were replaced after a failed attempt on the boss or if you were AFK for most (or all) of the encounter, you will receive no DKP.

Expressing Interest

During a raid, when a boss is felled, items will be distributed one-at-a-time from top to bottom as the loot appears on the corpse. This means that in most (if not all) cases, class armor tokens will be distributed last. In the interest of fairness, this order will not be changed.

The guild officer in charge of loot for the raid will call out the item in Ventrilo/Teamspeak that is being distributed. Once the item is announced, the officer will call "roll for interest". If you are interested in spending your DKP for said item you should do a "/rand" so everyone in the raid can see that you've expressed interest. The only time the value of the roll matters, is where there is a tie in DKP. The highest roll will win in those cases.

Raid members are expected to research potential drops from bosses being targeted prior to the raid to evaluate which items he/she may want, but you can still request more time to consider the item being distributed. Requests for more time may or may not be granted depending on schedule.

Determining a Winner

Once all interested persons have been identified for a particular item, the recipient of the item is determined through the DKP system.

Once the candidate list is complete for the item, current DKP standings will be checked at http://dkp.noxordo.org and the candidate with the highest DKP will be awarded the item. Note, in most cases DKP standings will be updated after each boss kill. Also, if you purchase an item off a boss and are interested in another item yielded from the same boss kill, your DKP standings will be offset by the purchase price of the item you already received.

Off Spec Items

A second DKP list will be kept for people rolling on off spec items. The DKP system for off spec items works exactly the same as the normal DKP plus the following:
To qualify for an off spec item you must meet the following criteria:
1. Have attened at least 2 full raids "nights" (in the current organized raid group)
2. Provide an Abyss Crystal

Tradeskill Recipes (See Primordial Saronite below)
The raid will select crafters for each type of recipe that can be purchased. These people will be chosen from regular raid members.

World Drops

Sometimes during raids, we are fortunate enough to receive world drop items of rare/epic quality. These items do not cost DKP and will be sent to the guild bank unless someone expresses interest in the item. Awarding of world drop rare/epic quality items is left to the discretion of the guild officers present

Primordial Saronite

These items are used to craft certain epic-quality items and will be guild banked in all cases. These items will be distributed from the guild bank to those that have the other mats required to craft the item they seek. Example... if an item requires 6 Primordial Saronite and the bank has 2 available, the requesting person must have and show the other 4 and have any other required mats. The raid crafters have access to the Saronite for recipes with raid leader approval. Any requests for Primordial Saronite may be rejected by the raid leaders.

These loot rules are current but some aspects are still under discussion. Please check here for updates.
